Kevin Bridges has become Scotland’s biggest export in comedy today. Dubbed as ‘brilliant’ by Billy Connolly Kevin first made his debut at The Edinburgh Playhouse on BBC1’s ‘Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow’ in 2009. Overnight success followed with Kevin selling out his run at the Edinburgh Festival in just a day. Kevin's astonishing rise to success continued in 2010 – when he recorded his debut DVD at a sold out Glasgow SECC arena, in front of 10,000 adoring fans. The DVD was released in November 2010 and went on to out-sell Frankie Boyle and Billy Connolly. In 2012 he has also hosted the long running series of ‘Live At The Apollo’ and presented his own six-part documentary ‘Kevin Bridges – What’s The Story’ all for BBC1. His autumn 2012 tour, Kevin Bridges – The Story Continues…, smashed box office records for opening day ticket sales. A staggering 45,000 tickets were sold on the first day, selling out an incredible nine-show run at the Glasgow SECC Arena. The second DVD ‘Kevin Bridges – The Story Continues…’ was a top 5 bestseller in 2012 with over 300,000 sales. Kevin’s success kept growing with a sell out Australian tour at the start of 2014 and his autobiography “We Need To Talk About…” which was released by Penguin Publishing in October 2014. Kevin also fronted 3 hugely successful shows for BBC1 about the commonwealth games and the Scottish referendum. His 2015 tour “A Whole Different Story..” went on to sell over 500,000 tickets. The acclaimed tour saw Kevin play 16 sold out nights at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro Arena where he went on to recorded his third stand up DVD. Kevin is soon to be embarking on a world tour which will see him playing Australia, Dubai, New Zealand and north America to name but a few. “Brilliant” - Billy Connolly … gravelly deadpan manner that makes him seem wise beyond his years – The Guardian
